Summary of what I have done for the past 6 years

Ever since I have stopped writing my personal blog 6 years ago, numerous things have happened in an alarming rate.

To give a brief summary of what I have done starting from 2010, I have embarked on doing my Final Year Project in Singapore Polytechnic, which involves creation of an application which is able to be displayed on Cisco IP Phones. This have to be done with conjunction on what I have been learning during that period of time, which is Cisco Unified Communications. This application is supposedly be able to display useful information, without the need for patients to have multiple clicks just to perform simple tasks like calling for assistance or for lunch. It also allows the doctors to have a clear overview on the levels which the patients are located at for easy reference. Even though this FYP did not eventually end up being used in the hospitals, but we still managed to enter the school's engineering exhibition, better known as SPINNOVEX.

After which, I embarked on to NS, which there were just numerous events happening all at one time, which is also hard to be written down in words. Towards the end of NS, it was a turning point for me as I have to decide if I want to continue studying in an university, or start working. The original plan was to start working, but I decided not to, as I have looked up online and seen that most jobs require me to have a degree, and the pay for Diploma graduates was real low at that time.

So I have ended up in NTU, studying Computer Science. It was definitely not what I was expecting as there was no spoon feeding here in NTU, instead we are expected to be self disciplined and study on our own. I have also faced multiple hiccups when doing some of the assignments as I am not quite sure of how to tackle some of the programming languages, which I have not done so in SP. Luckily, I have a bunch of good friends which I have made in NTU whom assisted me along the way, and a good FYP professor, who constantly guides me along the way by providing adequate feedback and improvements which I can improve on. She might be really busy, but she has managed to squeeze through a timeslot which I can visit her to provide progress updates and feedback to ensure everything is in order. Eventually, I did not do too well, only graduating with a 3rd class honours in Computer Science, specializing in Network and Information Security.
